Need to have the key components for the article ratings algorithm.

According to Chris and Amit, there will be 5 categories on which an article or comment can be rated:

  • Elegance
  • Novelty
  • Technical Quality
  • Influence
  • Overall Rating

Each category is rated on a scale of 1 - 5.

A user can only cast one vote/rating (5 categories) per article/comment. However, a user can go back and change their rating.

An total rating is also kept, which is the average of all the users' ratings (the average is per category).
